About This Quote

When I got untethered from the comfort of religion, it wasn't a loss of faith for me, it was a discovery of Self. For years, I'd gone to church or temple or mosque or synagogue or whatever and had sat there in the back row, taking notes on what the preacher was saying. There were times when I'd even done the dishes before I got out of bed in the morning. Needless to say, my life was not blissful.

And then, one day, I decided that enough was enough. I decided that I had to find me. It took me years to do that, but eventually I did.

It wasn't until after I started letting go of the religious community that my life changed for the better.
